Biography

Dawn Humphreys joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2013 as an Associate from Helfrey, Neiers and Jones. Her practice includes experience in corporate and business legal issues and planning strategies, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as commercial and residential real estate and lending matters, non-profit law, tax law, contract documents and rights, creditor rights in bankruptcy, foreclosures and workouts, trust and estate planning and banking.

Working closely with her clients, Dawn listens carefully to perceived problems and identifies opportunities to help both individuals and businesses maximize the results of various legal situations. She works proactively to fill the gaps between clients’ current needs and their long term goals, aiming for sustained success.

“Meeting with people and learning about them, building relationships that transcend current legal issues is one of my favorite parts of being an attorney,” says Dawn.

Outside of her career, Dawn enjoys hiking, biking, boating and other outdoor activities with her husband and two hound dogs.

Background

Earning her bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Maryville University, Dawn worked with Helfrey, Neiers and Jones for several years, developing legal experience while attending Saint Louis University School of Law. There, she earned her Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Business Transactional Law and received the Academic Achievement Award for the highest grade in her Advanced Real Estate Transactions class. She is currently pursuing her LLM, studying Real Estate Law on a merit scholarship from New York Law School.

She is a member of the American Bar Association’s Real Estate Property and Trusts, Law Practice Management and Business Law Committees.

As an active community member, Dawn volunteers for the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and serves on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Education Committee for St. Louis Commercial Real Estate Women. She shares her in-depth knowledge of law as an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate Law at St. Louis Community College.

Dawn is licensed to practice law in the states of Missouri and Illinois.
