Jacob Thessen

Biography

Joining Sandberg Phoenix in 2014, Jake W. Thessen brings an extensive knowledge of business litigation, constitutional & civil rights law, health law and products liability matters. He has represented clients including contractors, hospitals, physicians, transportation companies and owners of small- to medium-sized business enterprises.

“Serving as a summer associate at Sandberg Phoenix, I knew the firm culture encouraged collaboration and getting to know everyone,” Jake says. “It promotes a small-firm feel, but offers the depth and resources of a much larger firm. That really appealed to me.”

When working with clients, Jake places himself in his clients’ shoes and evaluates each situation from their perspective. This helps establish goals and expectations and allows him to better respond to requests in a way that respects his clients’ values and priorities.

“With every case and client, I get to learn new things and explore different legal topics,” says Jake. “It’s very exciting and intellectually rewarding.”

In his free time, Jake enjoys traveling, especially to the beaches of the Caribbean. He is also a fan of the Cardinals, Rams and Missouri Tigers, and attends music concerts when he isn’t exercising or reading up on the latest political news.
