Ken Goleaner experienced insurance defense litigation attorney st. louis

Biography

Bringing more than 13 years of litigation experience from another St. Louis-area law firm, Ken joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2015 and works primarily with the Business Litigation Practice Group. Focusing his legal practice on insurance coverage and bad faith matters, Ken is experienced in all aspects of litigation, from discovery, depositions and expert witness preparation to complex contract interpretation and drafting, appellate work in defense of insurance companies, and arguments before the Missouri Supreme Court.

The hallmark of Ken’s’ legal work is his meticulous attention to detail and his uncompromising thoroughness. “I believe in turning over every rock, checking every detail, every time,” Ken says. His thorough work ensures that nothing is missed when evaluating a client’s case, and results in the best advice for every situation. “Advocating on behalf of my clients is one of the best aspects of my career as a litigator,” says Ken. “There’s nothing more rewarding, after all the research and writing, than to go before a judge or jury and state a strong case in defense of my clients.”

Ken believes his approach and focus on client service matched those of the firm, and were key factors in his decision to move to Sandberg Phoenix in 2015. “Joining Sandberg Phoenix was a natural fit for my experience in insurance coverage and defense, and I knew the firm had a great reputation for providing outstanding client service and for a commitment to excellence in its work,” Ken says.

Prior to entering private practice, Ken completed a one year clerkship with Judge Kathianne Knaup-Crane, of the Missouri Court of Appeals Eastern District.

When he isn’t spending time with his family, Ken enjoys playing golf and baseball outside the office. He also enjoys being outside and takes pleasure working with plants.
