Kevin Peek, Associate

Biography

Kevin Peek joined Sandberg Phoenix in March of 2018, bringing several years of experience in defending high-exposure medical malpractice claims and defending healthcare providers in the correctional setting. Kevin has represented numerous medical facilities and health care providers throughout the State of Missouri.

As an associate in the firm’s Health Law practice group, Kevin assists in cases involving medical malpractice defense and defense of providers in correctional healthcare. Kevin strives to provide professional and thorough legal services to clients in order to create an appropriate defensive plan, and in an effort to reduce the stress created upon healthcare providers as a result of legal matters. Kevin is a regular contributor to the firm’s Physician Law Blog, and authors articles on legal matters and technology.

Background

Education

Kevin graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in Physics. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock – William H. Bowen School of Law.

Professional Organizations

Kevin is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois. He is also licensed to practice before the United States District Courts of Eastern Missouri, Western Missouri, Kansas and Southern Illinois. Kevin is a member of the American Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Greater St. Louis Claims Association and the Missouri Asian American Bar Association.

Community Involvement

Kevin participates annually as a Corporate Achiever with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to raise money for research. Kevin also provides pro bono services to the community by assisting in guardianship matters, and assisting individuals seeking asylum through the MICA Project. Due to his pro bono work, he was named by the Missouri Bar as an honoree of the 2016 Pro Bono Wall of Fame.
