Lynn Russell, Counsel

Biography

Lynn Russell has more than 30 years of experiences as a transactional and finance attorney, focusing her practice on commercial real estate development from purchase agreement and/or lease negotiation and financing (including Transportation Development Districts, Tax Increment Financings and industrial revenue bonds), through due diligence and the government approval process to closing and post-closing handling of construction issues, condemnations and more.

Lynn has significant experience in negotiating and drafting development agreements, easements and restrictive covenants, and has developed scores of new business entities, draft Operating Agreements, and by-laws. She also has represented one of the world’s largest retailers in real estate matters since 2000, handling all client contact and relations, work assignments and supervision of all associates. Lynn is also proficient in dealing with extremely complex matters and has a track record of success in dealing with media inquiries about the status of high-profile transactions.

Background

Lynn is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. She also earned a B.A. cum laude from the University of Missouri. In addition, she has served as a part-time adjunct professor at William Jewel College and at Drury College. She has also practiced as a legal counsel to the Juvenile Court (Missouri 13th Circuit) and served as a part-time instructor for the Missouri Division of Family Services.

Lynn is licensed in both Missouri and Kansas.
