Shareholder Scott Gray concentrates his practice on preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical and communications systems arts. In addition, he prepares and renders novelty, infringement and freedom to practice opinions; negotiates and drafts licensing agreements; and manages trademark and copyright registrations.
Before joining Sandberg Phoenix and his previous firm, Scott was senior lead engineer in the reliability and testing department at Coin Acceptors, Inc.
When not practicing law, Scott likes to spend time with his family, volunteer as a youth softball and basketball coach, attend sporting events, participate in sporting activities and read for leisure enjoyment. He is also extensively involved with professional and community organizations.
Scott earned his Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law. Prior to law school, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
He is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, participating on the Golf Tournament Committee and the Missouri Bar Association.
Scott serves as the Business Agent for the Costello’s Syndrome Family Network.
Scott is licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Missouri and the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri. In addition, Scott is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
