Thomas A. Hill joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2017 after practicing for more than 35 years in Highland, Illinois. Focusing his practice on estate planning, real estate and business entity formation, Tom has extensive experience with a lengthy track record of success in a wide range of transactional work.
A native of Southwest Illinois, Tom is a former president of the 500-lawyer Madison County Bar Association (MCBA) and a past president of the Tri-City Bar Association. He has served in a number of other bar association capacities.
Tom brings a wide range of experience to his practice. After earning a B.S. in Engineering Physics, he worked as an engineer with Illinois Bell Telephone Company in Chicago, where his focus was troubleshooting transmission system problems. He completed his law school studies while working as an engineer, graduation cum laude from the John Marshall School of Law.
Along with professional activities and raising his family, Tom has been active in church and community affairs, including past President of the Highland Chamber of Commerce and Highland Rotary Club. He has served as former Chairman of the Board of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, Chairman of St. Paul Kirchenfest and other numerous civil and religious organizations.
Tom earned his Juris Doctor from The John Marshal School of Law, and holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics from the University of Illinois.
Tom is admitted to practice law in Missouri, Illinois, before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court in Southern Illinois and the Illinois Supreme Court.
