Experienced real estate litigation attorney Michele O’Malley adds greater depth to the Business and Business Litigation Practice Groups serving both Missouri and Kansas businesses and individuals.
As the firm’s Kansas City presence continues to increase in both size and capabilities, Sandberg Phoenix is happy to announce the arrival of Michele O’Malley as Counsel. Michele brings more than 14 years of experience in commercial and business litigation.
Focusing her legal practice primarily on real estate litigation, Michele assists clients with matters including commercial and residential foreclosures, condemnation actions, workouts, commercial landlord-tenant matters, easement enforcement and real estate sales contract disputes. She has also served as counsel to small-business owners in dispute resolution, contract enforcement and general business matters, and has considerable experience in insurance defense.
“Michele is a great fit for Sandberg Phoenix,” said Sandberg Phoenix Managing Partner John Sandberg. “Both her experience as a litigator and her personal approach to providing clients with the respect and quality service they deserve make her a perfect addition to our family and we’re glad she has joined us in Kansas City.”
As a former licensed real estate agent, Michele’s experience navigating the complexities of real estate contracts allows her to help clients navigate difficult situations and guard against future litigation. Her insurance litigation experience, defending municipalities, school districts, business entities and individuals, also adds a unique perspective to her work with clients in real estate matters.
Outside the office, Michele is the president of the Parent Teacher’s Association for her children’s school and serves as a member of the Kansas City Women’s Executive Club.
Michele joins a team of more than 100 attorneys in seven offices throughout the Midwest whose broad depth of knowledge and close attention to detail ensure that all clients receive extraordinary client service, backed by a unique service guarantee.
“As a large law firm, Sandberg Phoenix is able to provide the cost-effective resources to help my clients, but with the close attention to client service and collaborative atmosphere more common to smaller firms,” Michele said. “Joining was the right choice for my practice and my clients, and I’m excited to get started.”
As of July 21, Michele’s new office will be located at 4600 Madison Avenue, in the Country Club Plaza neighborhood in Kansas City.
