Sandberg Phoenix Receives Achievement Award for Sustainability Efforts

Recognized by the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association, Sandberg Phoenix remains committed to responsible business practices.

Held annually to inspire businesses to develop initiatives to reduce their environmental impact, the St. Louis Green Challenge encourages local companies to implement strategies to reduce energy and waste and expand sustainability programs. Each effort is given a specific score according to its impact on the company’s performance in the categories of outreach, energy reduction, indoor environmental quality, waste reduction, and clean transportation options.

In 2012, Sandberg Phoenix received the Achievement Award for the initiatives implemented by the firm throughout the year. These activities included:

  • Working with the property manager at 600 Washington Ave. to establish a recycling program
  • Distributing information on sustainability policies to all employees and members of the supply chain
  • Developing a plan to eliminate the use of energy-intensive incandescent light in office spaces

Just as we are committed to providing our clients with truly superior service, backed by our unique guarantee, Sandberg Phoenix is dedicated to acting as a responsible corporate citizen, reducing our impact on the environment and preserving natural resources.

“We’re always exploring new ways in which we can improve our efficiency or reduce waste,” said Sandberg Phoenix Director of Finance and Facilities Jeff Feltz. “Going green and implementing sustainability measures can not only help save the planet, it affects our bottom line in a positive way too.”
