Emily Holt
Attorney
Emily Holt joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2026 and is a member of the firm’s Products Liability and Health Law Practice Groups in the Kansas City office. She began her legal career at a nonprofit organization advocating for victims of domestic violence before transitioning to private practice with a Kansas City asbestos litigation firm. There, she developed strong deposition and cross examination skills while building a foundation in complex litigation. Emily is passionate about advocacy and continues to expand her litigation experience with the goal of one day trying cases before a jury.
Emily earned her J.D. from William & Mary Law School, where she competed as a member of the National Trial Team and served as a research assistant for a professor specializing in torts. She received her undergraduate degree from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri, where she served as president of the Mock Trial Team. During her tenure, she helped lead the team to the Opening Round Championship Series of the American Mock Trial Association National Championship Tournament. Her team’s commitment to professionalism and sportsmanship also earned the prestigious “Spirit of AMTA” Award at nearly every tournament they attended. Following graduation, Emily remained involved with the program as a coach for several years and continues to volunteer as a judge at undergraduate mock trial competitions whenever possible.
Outside the office, Emily enjoys attending fitness classes, taking walks with her dog, exploring new restaurants, and reading fiction novels.
