Jennifer Denny

Jennifer Denny is Counsel at Sandberg Phoenix and a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2025 and brings a strong business-first perspective shaped by extensive in-house and national litigation experience.

Jennifer’s practice is grounded in practical risk management and a client-service mindset. Before joining Sandberg Phoenix, Jennifer served as in-house counsel for a national mortgage company with more than 1,000 employees operating in all 50 states. In that role, she oversaw a broad portfolio of litigation matters spanning trade secrets, class actions, employment arbitrations, borrower disputes, and title insurance indemnification, among other areas. Her responsibilities included managing outside counsel relationships, reviewing and directing pleadings and discovery, overseeing eDiscovery, appearing at depositions, hearings, and mediations, and efficiently resolving disputes before litigation when possible. Her in-house counsel roles prepared her to serve clients by aligning legal strategy with business objectives.

She has national courtroom experience across multiple jurisdictions, with state and federal appearances in Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, New Mexico, Alaska, and California. Her experience includes depositions, motion practice, trials, mediations, and coordinating appeals, as well as managing relationships with local counsel and in-house legal teams.

Jennifer also offers deep industry knowledge in real estate, banking, and mortgage servicing. Her work has included high-volume unlawful detainer dockets, title curative and quiet title litigation, and providing timely, actionable guidance and clear reporting for financial services clients navigating complex and fast-moving legal issues.

When not practicing law, Jennifer enjoys walks with her husband Charles and their two large rescue dogs, Bo (12) and Jaxx (3). She also loves to bake and would love to own her own bakery someday.
