Joseph Demko

Counsel Joe Demko joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2025 and is a member of the firm’s Business Practice group. With over two decades of experience, Joe represents corporate and individual clients in tax and transactional matters, bringing a comprehensive perspective to businesses of all sizes—from family-owned enterprises to multinational corporations.

As an attorney and accountant, Joe takes pride in serving as a trusted advisor, working closely with clients to ensure their legal and financial matters are effectively addressed. His practice includes advising on tax compliance, audits, ruling requests, tax exemptions, private foundations, and federal and local tax disputes. Additionally, he counsels beneficiaries and trustees on complex estate and tax administration issues.

Joe also guides businesses through critical transactions, including entity formation, ownership agreements, business succession, mergers and acquisitions, and dissolution. His extensive work in the banking sector allows him to deliver cost-effective, attorney-prepared and reviewed documents for SBA and conventional loans of all sizes. He also assists financial institutions with loan workouts.

Beyond his legal practice, Joe is actively involved in the community and enjoys coaching youth sports.
