Katherine Murphy

Katherine joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2026 and is a member of the firm’s Products Liability Practice Group. Katherine focuses her practice on litigation matters involving asbestos claims, personal injury, employment law, and education law. She brings experience managing complex cases from inception through resolution, providing practical guidance and dedicated advocacy for her clients.

Prior to joining Sandberg Phoenix, Katherine handled a high-volume asbestos litigation caseload, managing all phases of the litigation process. Her work included drafting responsive pleadings, preparing and arguing dispositive motions, conducting depositions, negotiating settlements, and developing case strategies designed to achieve efficient and favorable outcomes for clients. Katherine also has significant experience representing clients in personal injury matters. She managed all aspects of the pre-litigation process, including evaluating claims, drafting demand packages, analyzing complex medical records, negotiating settlements, and guiding clients through each stage of the claims process.

In addition, Katherine has advised clients on employment and education law matters involving due process claims, policy disputes, and administrative proceedings. Her experience appearing before various tribunals and handling both litigation and administrative matters allows her to effectively advocate for clients facing a wide range of legal challenges.
