VACCINE MANDATE UPDATE: Fifth Circuit Cuts Nationwide Injunction of Healthcare Vaccine Mandate in Half

On December 15, 2021, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order on the federal government’s stay request in its appeal of the recent decision by a Louisiana federal court to issue a nationwide injunction against the healthcare vaccine mandate.  By granting the request in part, the order effectively cuts in half the scope of the nationwide injunction entered by the Louisiana court.
