Matthew Scoggins joined Sandberg Phoenix as an associate in 2018 and is part of the Products Liability practice group. He concentrates his practice on defending product manufacturers, corporations, fraternities, premise owners, insurance companies, and individuals, primarily in product liability, toxic tort and environmental litigation. Matthew has a broad range of litigation and trial experience in defending manufacturers of pharmaceutical products, toxic torts, transportation products (heavy equipment, trucking, etc.), personal insurance and property damage claims. He also represents banks and financial institutions involving commercial and contract disputes.
Matthew offers an early and realistic evaluation, advising the optimal method of achieving the goals of the individuals and companies he represents, whether that is trial or resolution. His responsiveness and dedication mean his clients can focus on running their businesses or practices while he works to represent their best interests.
Prior to attending law school, Matthew was a professor at the University of Louisville in sports administration. He also was an agent for a major sports agency, where he focused on complex data analysis of the cost-benefits of contracts.
