Ashley Cox

Ashley joined Sandberg Phoenix as an associate in 2023. She previously served as a law clerk during her third year of law school and participated in the firm’s summer associate program in 2021 and 2022. She focuses her practice in business law, including corporate transactions, organizational formation, employee benefits, ERISA and executive compensation.

Prior to law school, Ashley earned dual degrees in Journalism and Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia. While at Mizzou, she worked in the advertising and communications industry, including interning at an international advertising agency in Prague, Czech Republic. Ashley’s background gives her a unique perspective as she approaches legal issues both analytically and creatively - a skillset she uses to benefit her clients as she guides them through complex transactions, the implementation of tax-qualified retirement plans and non-qualified deferred compensation arragements, and other corporate matters.

Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys trying different coffee shops in the Kansas City area, traveling to new places, and cheering on her favorite teams, including the Missouri Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues.
