Lisa Huckstep

Lisa joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2024 and is a member of the firm’s Health Law Practice Group.  She is a trial lawyer who focuses her practice on defending medical professionals and entities against medical malpractice and nursing home negligence claims in Missouri and Illinois.  

Prior to joining the firm, Lisa was a litigation attorney at a major law firm in St. Louis, giving her experience representing clients in state and federal courts across Missouri and Illinois.   During law school, she interned at the Missouri Court of Appeals and worked as a law clerk for a firm that represents plaintiffs in medical malpractice matters.  Lisa was also a Lead Editor of the Saint Louis University School of Law Journal of Health Law & Policy.  Prior to law school, Lisa worked as a Certified Surgical Technologist.

Lisa was the recipient of the Saint Louis University School of Law 1843 Full Tuition Scholarship, received Dean’s List Honors while in law school, and received Academic Excellence Awards in her Employment Law Seminar and Civil Practice course. 

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, staying fit with pickle ball and barre classes, cooking, and enjoying a great cup of coffee.
